Vitality Drive uses telematics to measure your driving behaviour. Discovery Insure clients who are Vitality Drive members can choose to use one of the telematics devices below: the Vitality Drive Sensor, the Crowd Search Sensor (for stolen vehicle recovery) and standalone devices.
How to get started on Vitality Drive
Install your Vitality Drive Sensor at your nearest Tiger Wheel & Tyre or at the Discovery Drive Centre. The sensor is easy to install on the inside of a windscreen and provides detailed, real-time trip feedback.

Impact Alert - for emergency help when you need it most
The Vitality Drive Sensor can detect if your vehicle experiences a severe impact, and immediately sends Discovery Insure a notification along with the exact location. If we can't get hold of you, we send emergency medical assistance to the accident scene.
Weather Warnings - for protection from the elements
The Vitality Drive Sensor uses South African Weather Service data and your real‑time location to warn you about severe weather conditions. You'll get an alert on your phone so you can move your car under cover or avoid dangerous roads. Whether it's hail or heavy rain, these alerts give you time to be proactive about safety.
Vehicle Panic Button - for at-hand peace of mind
When you install your Vitality Drive Sensor, you can use your smartphone as a vehicle panic button to request immediate help if you have an emergency. A call centre agent will try to contact you, and if they can't get hold of you, they'll immediately send an emergency response team to you
How to the vehicle panic button works:
Android: Press your phone's power button at least five times in quick succession to send a panic alert to Discovery Insure.
iOS: Press the red panic button at the top right of the dashboard on your Discovery Insure app.
Find My Vehicles - for locating your stolen car in real-time
When you install the Crowd Search Sensor*, you get access to enhanced stolen-vehicle recovery. If your vehicle is stolen, contact our call centre to initiate the recovery services. The device in your vehicle will
connect to our wireless network to alert Discovery Insure of the vehicle's location, so you can find it quickly.
The Crowd Search Sensor's Motion Alert also flags when the primary driver's phone is not in the vehicle while it's moving, alerting you to possible theft.
